THE ASK
Westward Whiskey returned to Flask in 2021 looking to showcase their premium new brand identity while sharing the latest chapter in their brand’s story (a story originally brought to life by Flask in 2017).
THE INSIGHT
Westward’s original vision of a single malt born from a damn good beer has grown up to represent more than just Portland’s rich beer history. Today, the brand stands at the bleeding edge of America’s whiskey frontier as America’s top-rated single malt. This is Single Malt Reimagined, American Whiskey elevated.
THE EXECUTION
Reuniting the team from the original Westward production in 2017, the 2021 film production stepped it up to match the ambitions of Westward itself: a 9-film series meticulously shot and focused upon the various elements of the modern Westward Whiskey experience. Interviews, lifestyle, in-studio… we poured ourselves into every facet of this complex whiskey (and poured a few glasses along the way).
